We slept for a few hours, and wandered around Patong beach's line-up of pubs, beach bars and restaurant. Well, we found ourselves walking around the wrong side of the beach, the "not-so-happening part" and settled for some local Thai food. Food is tasty and fairly priced.
delicious and well-cooked pineapple rice, prawns, tomyam, chicken and cashew nuts, veggies... the white tastes diluted.

the usual spread at breakfast + some thai dishes. bacon kills me. i had ALOT.

Patong is a fairly crowded beach. we wanted a happening beach this vacation more than a tranquil beach. Patong is the right choice. We strolled from one end to the other. Very nice weather. Cloudy but no rain. My favourite.
went for our jet ski. she is far more fierce than me! i was actually very scared when its my turn being the pillion.
very good waves to 'jump.
wanted to draw the Batman. but too expensive.
strolled along the road next to the beach. quite a long stretch!
as usual, you get all these services ever so readily along the beach.
thai massage! i love it before but i hate it after.
wanted to buy some paintings this vacation. but couldn't find the right feel. plus we were too short of time to shop.In any case, I can get some from http://www.cameronhansen.net/ if i want.
went back for a late afternoon swim after patong beach.
FantaSea is next. A Thai cultural theme park

this is the main show that we signed up for. but before this, off to the buffet dinner
very good spread. lots of nice food.
after dinner, proceeded with the cultural show. the "sea angel" performance was really entertaining. plus the running chickens, lost-bird-who-went-to-disturb-CAM, cultural element was nice too.16th July 2009
had our unusually early breakfast before we go island hopping.
waves go from 2metres to 3 metres out there. boat rides were CRAZY. i hate the rides. poor little girl was so scared.
bamboo island, snorkelling was a little disappointing here. water is not that clear. i guess its just too crowded.
