It wasn't that difficult to get there, but of cos, once again, she navigate, i just follow.
Kind of like a small theme park, with the disney style buildings.
Thats a green house if i rem right.
Thats the signature choc biscuit they make here. Shiroi Koibito cookies, two thin butter cookies with white chocolate in between.
Proceeded inside.,
Various cups were shown here. Cups for what? I'm not sure. For drinking a cup of choco maybe.
The screen above the production area which features US
Production lines, quite efficient. And these folks do screen through the output to sift out any burnt cookies that do not make the grade.
Part of the Shiroi Koibito Park is a soccer field, the practice ground for "Consadole Sapporo", the local J-League soccer team.
Randomly checked for foreign particles and quality of cookies.
Having spent the morning in Ishiya, we proceeded to Otaru for the afternoon.
On the train to Otaru, we got down at the wrong station. Haha, my fault.
I have a thing with taking pictures of Honda Fit in Japan, especially black ones.
Some old warehouse. Cant rem which one. Otaru feels like a old town filled with historic building, warehouses, lamp posts... Very quiet generally, apart from the touristy spots.
Came across this glass maker place,
with nice glass works for sales.
And they blow glass. Young people...
The famous canal. We din really know where to go, seems like we were the only people there.
As we walked along the canal, another one of these historic places. Its a restaurant it turns out.
This spot is the featured spot, where they always use this background to intro Otaru.
Had my melon, before we go back to sapporo.
This evening, we are headed to join the fireworks display over the riverbed of Toyohiragawa Minami-Ohashi upstream from around 7:40 pm to 8:45 pm. On arriving at the station interchange, we were pleasantly surprised. Lots and lots of people, some young ladies and gents in their yukata. Every lady in a yukata or kimono had very dressed up hairstyles. Amazingly nice. The guys too. Instantly, it felt like we are joining a very vibrant crowd at one of the fun and impt summer event. It felt good, fun!
I need some bento or something. very hungry leh.
The show begins.
Thats the river below. and the crowd on this side of the river. The rest are on the opp bank.
The fireworks lasted 1 hour, with music and commentary i dun understand, but the euphoria of the crowd that i fully understand.
The end, cooling weather somemore, about 18-20 deg, very nice and comfy.
Need some supper, at Sapporo station. before we head back to sleep.
