Melaka Rengit Batu Pahat 25 - 26 Oct 2008

The plan was to drive up to ah ma's old house and rest there for the weekend, without any distractions, after going to JB's Jusco
I couldnt find the right way to Jusco though and my GPS is not working. Out of the blues, we decided on the road to head up to Melaka.

No research, no maps. The only clue we have: exit at Ayer Keroh and head straight to the city. So we did.

Went past many destinations like the Zoo and Croc farm. We decided to shop at the Melaka Mall

And Jusco. (in Melaka instead of JB)
Had lunch at Secret recipe

As we continue our journey straight, following the sign pointing to Bandar, which we think means city,

we saw some blocks of red houses, which seems very touristy, so we pulled over, parking in front of this old shophouse, which on closer look is a law firm. ?

I remember Jonkers Street. One of my brokers suggested casually that I visit this street some time back. Too bad, I can't wait for night fall, when this street transform into a pasar malam.

very interesting shop, by Charles Cham

not forgetting the famous dish here in Melaka. I prefer my normal kind of rice, not a fan of lontong

to labourer. jia lat

by 6pm, we are out of here. need to rush back to ah ma's house. i need some day light to guide me home.

spent the night there. reading my book. had a very good sleep as i was very tired from the drive.

the next day, my cousin happen to be back too. her little boy.

off to visit this temple. lots of S plate cars. very surprised.

this temple is very famous. i duno the name but a lot of people come here hoping for a windfall in the 4Ds and Toto. or maybe wishing that stocks price would bounce back and commodities price stop falling. well, palm oil and latex are relavant to a lot of these people. they grow in their back yard you see.

there we ended our weekend getaway.

the coach ride home is a little longer than i expected as they made a few stops/

it was a good trip. sometimes its pretty good to travel in a bigger group/ its a different kind of fun. remember those good old times when we travel in huge groups in so called sec 3 school camps to lake kenyir or the sec 4 perth adventure trip.

i miss those days/

remake them, go on some camps or short trips with some mates. the feeling would be similar. i guess...
