NYC training, 16th - 21th Jul

Apple Store along 5th ave is phenomenally Apple. I really liked the Iphone after fondling it for 30mins. The urge intensifies and I went to the counter. The guy went 'no, you can't use it elsewhere. Unless you wanna do auto roam. Well mate, we always have to wait for the cool Nokia that you had. Now its our time to enjoy some exclusivity'. I went, 'good for you mate. I'll just stick to my cool Nokia' and I went off, thinking, how could anyone resist the iphone.

I reckon my face is severely lacking in photos. Proof of my presence. Induction day.

NYC training, 9th to 15th Jul 2007

First of all, thanks friends who actually came to see me off, though its just a short 2 months. Well, the 20 hours flight was boring, and what great view I had in Frankfurt.

Was picked up by Auntie at Kennedy Airport, where after which we went to Chinatown for lunch. Parking rates are exorbitant.

After lunch, we went for a car tour around ground zero and the city hall. After which I had to check in at the Affinia Dumont at 150 East 34th street btw Lex and the 3rd. Pretty good full facilities fitness suites. The photos are an understatement because I'm not good with photography.

The photo looks like some hotel 81 lighting, but well, just to show the layout

Right after I checked in, I went with Aunt to New Jersey, went house hunting with her friend, and after that went up to this chinese reataurant where I stayed for the night. Turns out that because of that, I was late for an hour on the first day. Haha. Anyway, training's at Broad Street, next to Wall street.

Walked around and ended up at the Times Sqr. Fascinating.

The Grand Central Terminal

Times Sqr in daylight.

A game of Kickball at the Central Park

Through the week, we had dinner at Moroccan and Italian restaurant, went for drinks downtown, got rejected at the Meat Packing district clubs as we did not bring enough ladies with us. I went to Moma, the Musuem of Modern Art yesterday, it was amazingly fabulous, considering the number of famous works there are. Visited the Rockefeller Center and stupidly tipped them too much.
Well, definitely an experience to spend time in Manhattan with Jorge from Madrid, Phil and Charles from London, Tae Ho and Sook from Korea, the bunch of guys from HK, the New Yorkers, Taku, Shin and Saiko from Japan, Tanasis from Greece, Reece from Sydney, etc.. and fellow Singaporeans. Thats week ONE.

Hit the gym for the first time.

That's my sub station.

The only NBA store around. Of cos I just had to be there.. Slam on..

Hitting down the 5th Ave

My one and only snap of the store. Nearly got booted out for that. The store experience is fabulous. Now I know what they mean when A&F says they will not allow franchise to maintain the store ambience. Thumbs up.. for the models..

6 floors high.

Dinner place with Joseph.

Did Time Warner Center and Columbus Circle after dinner. Jazz at Lincoln Center.

The guy only raises his head when blowing.
